Lomaherpan (new name for LomaBrit) cream - 5 g.

This cream helps stop herpes simplex virus causing a sore. It is proving extremely popular with lots of people re-ordering. 

Lomaherpan is made in Germany from melissa officinalis (lemon balm) in an emollient base. Melissa contains molecules that block the receptor sites on the skin cells and prevent the virus getting into the cells where it multiplies. If you wish, you can use melissa oil or extract from an aromatherapy supplier (mixed with a carrier oil).

Lomabrit salve

We have large stocks of this product. 

This lip salve works in the same way as LomaBrit cream but also contains a sunblock. As sunlight is a well known cold sore trigger factor this makes the salve extra useful for dealing with facial cold sores. 

NOTE THAT: the BBE date is January 2009, but we continue to sell it as so many people who've used it want to continue buying it.  We have now reduced the price!

Lidocaine 5% ointment

Topical anaesthetic ointment which numbs the area and so stops itch or pain.  You can buy this at a pharmacy for around £6.00.  If you cannot find it at a local chemist, email us on info@herpes.org.uk.

A small trial reported in the medical journal, Lancet, also found that used early on, it prevented about half the outbreaks from developing and shortened those that did happen from an average of 4.9 days to an average of 1.9 days.
